So first off: the new blogger app. I've been having a few problems with it, but I got them worked out. So, I can now get back to my reviews.
Huron Blackheart:
Abbadon the Despoiler's little brother, stat wise. 105 points less, a few less points in the stat line, and basically none of the awesome special rules that Abbadon has. My opinion is only take him if you want a named character similar to Abbadon, but not quiet as good.
Granted, there are some things he has different from Abbadon. First off, he's a psycher due to the Hamadrya but without the ability to choose his discipline. However, a lucky roll could give you a one turn boost. His Tyrant's Claw I feel isn't quiet what I was hoping for from the Black Tyrant, but its still good. A power axe on steroids almost, with a heavy flamer.
Finally, his warlord trait. I'm sorry, but master of deception does not get enough attention. A lot of people are complaining about how badly it got nerfed, and yes, it did. However, if I understand correctly, shooting has remained the same. Outflank some heavy shooting marines or a squad of 20 Thousand Sons to drill holes into the flanks of the enemy. While I haven't done this with Huron, I have done this. And it works, against both orks and marines. That's all I've had the chance to try this on, though.
All in all, I don't like him very well. I feel like he is simply a cheap choice for someone looking for a named HQ, and anything he could do, a similarly priced lord could do better. He does have a few bonuses, but I don't expect to be adding him to my list any time soon.

Chaos Space Marine 6th edition codex unit review: Abbadon
After some time spent studying and preparing (and, I won't lie, pulling a few grades up), I'm pleased to announce a return to my regular postings. Instead of the schedule I had been running on previously, I am returning with a series of reviews. Namely, of the models in the new Chaos Space Marine codex.
I'm going to be going through them in the order in which they appear in the bestiary.
Abbadon the Despoiler:
This guy is what it means to have the favor of the chaos gods. Literally, look up "favor of the chaos gods" in the dictionary. There's no definition. It just has a picture of Abbadon. With his two personal chaos artifacts, he can handle anything in close combat, whether delivering hard and strong blows from the Talon of Horus, or a flurry of fatal slashes from the Drach’nyen, he's ready. However, being armed only with a combi-bolter for ranged weaponry means this guy wants and needs to be in the midst of battle ASAP. His mark of chaos ascendant should come into handy once and while getting there. All four marks wrapped up into one? Yes please.
As for his warlord trait, it's okay. Granted, space marines will be who you play the most, but not always. I suppose they make up for that with the first among chosen rule, allowing chosen marines to be ran as troops. Can someone say, bye bye cultists?
Finally, what I feel is the only downfall for Abbadon. Champion of Chaos. For most people, this is amazing. Getting boosts and benefits from killing champions? However, for Abbadon, he's much better without that 1/8 chance of being turned into either a chaos spawn or daemon prince. Both of those are downgrades for him, especially the spawn. And besides, if he does get turned into a daemon prince, which is he? Khorne, Nurgle, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, or all four? Does that mean he hates himself? Who knows.
Well that about wraps up my review on Abbadon. Later, loyal followers and lovers of WLaS.
May the chaos powers always look on you with favor.

Spider-Man, Spider....
Finally finished the Daemon Prince of Tzeentch. And as everyone has been pointing out to me, yes, it does look like Spider-Man or Superman. No, that was not intentional. However, he's still awesome, and in a battle last night, single handedly wiped out the entire right flank of the ork army (left flank from ork's side). Iron arm+ warp speed + Tzeentch's primaris power (who's name I forget), and a unit of 30 boys, gone in a turn. Add on scrolls of Magnus for an extra power each turn, and this guy very quickly becomes a waking psychic power house with its spell familiar. The great thing about giving the scrolls of Magnus to him, strength 3 ap1 will only hurt on 6s, and then there's always that invuln save.

Review time
Well everyone, I've spent a few days reviewing the new digital codex for the Chaos Space Marines. I've prepared the following in a pro/con format, for your (and my) convenience.
Pros:
Accessibility: having it on my iPad, which I take pretty much everywhere, is great! I won't lie, I feel weird pulling out a codex and reading it while sitting at McDonald's or whatever, but on my iPad, it's great!
The pictures: the 360° rotating pictures and the zooming in on pictures is also pretty cool, as it allows you to see more detail in the models that you can't in the actual codex.
Quick-links: possibly my favorite part. Don't know what a "Sigil of Corruption" does and don't want to flip through the pages to find it? Just tap the name, and it pops up in a little box for you! Want to get from the Bestiary of the Chosen to the Army List entry? Just tap the circle with the A, and it takes you right there!
Highlighting: want to mark one piece of wargear so that you remember it? You can do that without ruining the book now! Plus, you can color code. For instance: Demon prince and Scrolls of Magnus, red. Lord and Murder Sword, blue.
Cons:
Confusing: it has a quick link for everything everyone can take, separated into categories. However, they don't sort out the weapons inside of a category! For instance, when looking at "Chaos Rewards" for your demon prince, it still has "boon of mutation". Well, as a demon prince doesn't have "champion of chaos", it logically shouldn't be able to have that. But can it take it still? I don't know, I'm guessing I'll have to check an actual one.
Local GW: the people at your local GW do their best to make sure you have the best Wargaming experience you can have. However, when you buy the digital copy, it goes straight to the company, so that specific store and the people running it, no cash to help keep the store running. So if your store is low on cash, and is considering going out of business, and everyone who shops there gets the digital codex instead of a hardback, well, bye bye GW store. And I'll be honest: most the time I've been to an independent retailer, they really could care less if you enjoy your stay. There's a few exceptions I've seen, but not many.
And that wraps up my review! All in all, I think it's about a 9/10. I think the price could be a little lower, seeing as none goes to the guys at the store, but I understand the extra stuff in it does put it up a bit, and that it's not just a scan. If I think of any more pros or cons, I'll let you guys know.
Happy Wargaming guys!
And may you roll 65-66 on your chaos boon tables for your chaos cultist champions!

Eternal conquest in the names of the gods
Things have been busy here at Warhammer, Life and Soda. But today I'm pleased to announce that I am in possession of the new Chaos Space Marines Codex on my iPad. It's currently in the process of downloading, but I'll be sure to post a review here for all of you when I get the chance to look over it. Well, unfortunately I'm busy, and have to go, but I wanted to give our loyal followers a heads up.

Waaaaagh Wednesday: Warhammer, life and Soda's anything and everything!
Today, we at Warhammer, Life and Soda bring you Stormtrooper's Logan Grimnar, used to lead his forces of Space Wolves.
But will we stop there? Of course not! Continuing on the Stormtrooper side, how about his Blood Angel's Chaplain? This guy is nasty leading a group of Death Company, let me tell you.
And then, well, it is ~Waaagh~ Wednesday. We kind if need an ork, don't we? So here's Mrs. Stormtrooper's Ork Boss.
Well that's about it for today. This is Dragonauthor, wishing you all well in the fight for the forty first milenium.
And remember: the greatest threat is that which eats at the very heart of the Imperium.
Hail the Dark Powers!

Ogre Kingdoms
Here are the first 3 Ogres I have painted for my Ogre Kingdom army. I
would have more models painted but I need more paints. I am very excited
about playing this new army as well as painting it. Hopefully I will
have some more done soon

Countdown to October 6th
Well, it's been officially announced by Games Workshop now. Chaos Space Marines codex coming in October! I don't know about anyone else, but this seems like the perfect time to start a Chaos army. I'll be busy scrapping every penny I can find to get a maulerfiend/forgefiend and a heldrake. Possibly what I look forward to the most, however, is turning this guy:
Into this guy:
If you're wondering how I'll be doing that, well... I suppose you'll either have to get the new White Dwarf (and possibly a magnifying glass), or wait until October 6th!

Glory to Chaos!
Well everybody, if all the rumors are correct, official announcement of new Chaos Codex coming tomorrow. Seeing as this will be the first new codex for 6th edition, I am amped. This is why there hasn't been too many posts this week, and once we get rolling, we'll be back to posting, though there may be more deviations from the schedule. But remember, "The code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules."

Incoming transmission
Ship log 72115
Fortitudo Imperatore
Communication relay..... Mostly online.... Reason for failed transmission..... Theory.... Opening in the Eye of Terr.....reinforcements! The Emp-
End transmission.
Hello everyone, Dragonauthor here! We apologize for Monday and Sunday's lack of posts, there was a communication error caused by a transmission in the warp (as you can see in the transmission received from one of our patrol ships near the eye of terror).
If we understand the transmission correctly, the eye of terror is opening and causing strange anomalies nearby.
All this to say: Chaos space marine update incoming!(?)
That's right. We've heard and received multiple rumors about Chaos Space Marines getting updated in October, with the official announcement being this Saturday. This is in stark contrast to the other rumors we've heard, that Dark Angels are getting updated first. However, I think I'm gonna put a bit more weight into the Chaos Marines, because as of right now, we have no rules for models that came in Dark Vengeance, whereas Dark Angels do. But you can make that decision yourself.
Dragonauthor, signing out. If we learn anything else about this anomaly in the Eye of Terror, we'll be sure to inform you.
Also, as a side note: Waaag Wednesday is a day where we will post anything and everything. News tidbits, models that don't really fit into the other categories, etc. So yes: this was a Waaagh Wednesday.

Terrain Tuesday: Garden of Morr
I have been working on a Garden of Morr set to use as terrain for our Warhammer Fantasy battles for us at Warhammmer Life and Soda. Garden of Morr is great for Warhammer terrain because it comes with a sinister statue, ghostly fence, walls and several buildings you can use as different things. This is the only piece I have started painting. It is not completely done yet, but i think it is off to a good start. By the way orks rule WAAAAGGGHHH!

Submission Saturday: Young Wargamer making his first debut: Little Snake-eyes
For our very first Submission Saturday, we are hosting a wonderfully painted model by our favorite 4 year old fan. This is completely unbiased, and in no way, shape, or form affected by the fact that he is Igloo's, Stormtrooper's, and my own nephew. This is his very first model he ever painted, and he did so completely on his own. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, we present to you, Emno (The name chosen for the model by Little Snake-eyes)
Also feature today is Pyro, an associate of ours at Warhammer, Life and Soda. He's working on, if I'm correct, a nurgle-themed chaos space marine army. He chose a rather unique (at least I haven't seen it before) color combination of green and purple. I won't lie, it's an interesting idea, and I expect some results from this Pyro!
Little Snake-Eyes decided to go with his second favorite color, orange (Blazing Orange), as the main color over a black primer. Finishing up with a black wash (Badab), I personally think its an amazing start to Wargaming. Everyone, a round of applause for Little Snake-Eyes.
Special thanks to Igloo, for unknowing giving Little Snake-Eyes one of his Space Marines to paint.
If any of our viewers wish to submit for our next or a subsequent Submission Saturday, email me (Dragonauthor) at my email (we will make an official email soon): Dragon.author@gmail.com

Flying Friday: Storm Talon Gunship
We are changing Fridays to Flyer Fridays because air support has become a huge part of warhammer tactics in 6th edition. Therefore they deserve their own spot on our blog. So on Fridays we are going to talk about anything that flies for example: flying monstrous creatures, fast skimmers, Chariots, or flyers. I have recently purchased a storm talon. Storm Talons are flyers for the space marine army and I have mine painted up for Black Templars. I am going to run it most of the time with twin linked lascanon and twin linked assault cannon. Storm Talons are great because they can contest objectives in a hurry due to their 36" movement. Storm Talons are not to be taken lightly and the only effective way to take them down is other flyers if you can get the drop on them and weapons that have the skyfire special rule.

Tank Thursday
So far so good keeping up with the schedule this week. I've received no complaints about it so far, so all is well there. Anyway, as for this week, we decided to showcase, without doubt, the best painted tank we have. While it was painted a while ago, we are presenting Igloo's Predator, painted up by Warhammer Life and Soda's very own Mrs. Stormtrooper. A round of applause, everyone.
Well, hopefully you guys aren't feeling as bad as I am about your painting skills. I'm gonna go wok on my Chosen some more. Expect pictures of the (mostly) finished squad before too long!
Dragonauthor, wishing you all happy painting.
And I'll let you in on a secret. There has been talk going around about Warhammer Life and Soda doing a painting competition. Details to follow soon!

Monstrous Monday, a few days late
Well everyone, I prepared the pictures for this week before I had the plan for the outline. So I have a Monstrous Monday prepared for Warlord Wednesday (which discussion has begun of changing it to "Waaagh Wednesday, details to follow). Anyway! Monstrous Monday: for today, we have the beginnings of the Dark Vengeance helbrute:
This guy is in the process of being painted up by Mrs. Stormtrooper. She has done more work since this, but I don't have pictures of it yet. You guys will get them by next Monatrous Monday though.
Anyway! Dragonauthor signing out!

Idea for weekly schedule
Hello everyone. By now I hope you guys have noticed we're trying to post more often. Well, this is for a number of reasons, but mainly that there's so much to be posting now! To help us get organized, we have made a schedule for the week. Now this won't be canon, there may be some days the schedule won't be followed. But as of now, this is what we are looking at:
Monstrous Monday: monstrous creatures and walkers, no game is complete without at least one!
Terrain Tuesday: because what's a game of warhammer without some half destroyed building?
Warlord Wednesday: they lead our armies, of course they need to get some attention!
Tank Thursday: from Rhino to Razorback to Landraider, if it can carry your troops or fire big guns, this is where we put it.
Freestyle Friday: anything and everything that we think is just awesome! (may be changed to "Fantastic Friday")
Submission Saturday: your day to shine! If you want us to showcase your models, let us know. We'll go through what we get, and post what we think is the best (or, quiet likely, all of them until we get too many to post at once.)
And last but not least, Scratchbuilt Sunday. If Stormtrooper, Davich, Igloo, Sagisu or I get scratch build or convert something awesome, you'll see it here! (small chance we will also show some of yours)
And now for today's Terrain Tuesday!
This building was done by Stormtrooper and Mrs. Stormtrooper working together. Hope you guys like it, because we sure do!

Dragonauthor here, bringing you guys, as promised, Stormtrooper's Dark Angels Tactical Squad. Sorry for no close ups, he didn't think they were painted up well enough for that. So, without further ado, the picture of the Tactical Squad:

Dark Vengeance progress report
Dragonauthor here, bringing you loyal fans and followers of Warhammer, Life and Soda an update on what is going on with the Dark Vengeance set throughout this week. Expect to see this week: Some Dark Angels painted by Stormtrooper (at this point and time, only guaranteed picture will be the tactical squad), what I have painted of my Chosen (Which is what this post will contain, but we'll get there in a bit), and as for Mrs. Stormtrooper's contribution, you guys will get to see the beginnings of the chaos Helbrute and some amazing terrain.
But now to the main part of the post: The Chosen.
I'm not sure how common this approach is for the Chosen, but this was my thinking: The Chosen are the favored of the dark gods. I have six of them (and I will be running the Lord with those six at all times, so he is, technically, a seventh) So I decided to base them off of the Seven Deadly Sins. How does this affect the painting of them? Not much, to be honest. I chose a color that some might say has absolutely no connection to the seven deadly sins to paint up the special parts on them. So far I have four of them painted:
Superbi (Pride[blue was chosen]) :
Gula (Gluttony[purple was chosen]):
Belphagor (Sloth[red was chosen]):

Daemons Finally Won!
First i would like to apologize for not posting any new post recently. I have been busy with starting college and all that crap but i haven't forgotten about my favorite hobby Warhammer. Past couple of weeks I got my first wins ever with BT and Daemons. I have won games before with them but i was playing on a team of people not by myself, therefore i did not count them because i had help. I am really excited because daemons are one my favorite armies cause i think the models look awesome. I did have the help of my new forge world bloodthirster, but as igloo proved he is not indestructible and got him down to 4 out of 8 wounds in one game. Also i paid close to $200 for that models so it should be slightly overpowered. Tonight me and Dragonauthor are going to play a Fantasy game for Daemons and High Elves. It should be very interesting hopefully we will get a battle report done as well.
Vengeance has come
Well everybody, good news and bad news. Good news is that Stormtrooper and I got up to Games Workshop yesterday and picked up not one, but two Dark Vengeance boxes. As for the bad news: Stormtrooper hasn't got all the Dark Angels put together yet. However, all the chaos guys are fully assembled, and I've even begun painting one. I don't have pics of my WIP model other than his assembled self, but I will when he is finished. And because here at Warhammer, Life and Soda, we love you guys, here are the pictures!
If you can't wait to see these guys painted, well I'm right there beside you! Stay tuned, there may or may not be a battle report coming soon involving them. We've been trying to get one up for a while, and with the new starter, where better for us to start?

Sixth Edition Starter
So hopefully by now, anyone who cares has already seen the new starter set for sixth edition. If not, check it out! Http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1700011a is the link to go to it. Go check it out, come back here when you're done.
Awesome, right? As most of you know, I've been looking forward to starting a Chaos army for a couple months now. My original plans were to do so for a Zone Mortalis tournament, but due to sixth edition's release, that was cancelled until further notice. But now that it is Games Workshop confirmed that chaos is in the new starter, I'm excited. I'm really looking forward to find out what the Helbrute is like. As of right now, pretty sure Stormtrooper and I are gonna do a Dark Vengence battle report when we get it, possibly following the scenarios in the book, possibly not.
Well, this is Dragonautthor, signing out! May the dice be ever in your favor!
Vengeance is coming.

Tidings of great joy!
Well everybody, sorry for the delay in posting, but I have great news. I won the 40k tournament the other weekend held at our local GamesWorkshop. It was an 1850 tournament, each victory scoring two points, and in game objectives scored points equivalent to their in game value. I came in first with fifteen, one of my opponents in second with 13, and Igloo tied for third with two others with 11. I was unable to get pictures throughout the game, but I did get pictures of the start of my first game, and Igloo's second. I will post them soon, as I have not yet gotten them to my computer.
As a reward for winning the tournament, I bought myself a Tyrion fine cast model to lead my High Elfs. I will attempt to post a picture of him when he is fully painted and assembled as well, which may be some time.

Uh, er, deff...kopta?
Well guys, I hate to say it, but once again, we suck. We are very much sorry for the delay in recent posts, but we've been busy with some stuff. However, as of tomorrow (well, today, really, but that's besides the point), Stormtrooper, Igloo, and I are going to be at a tournament held by our local gamesworkshop. So you guys can bet what this means: Photos. If we're lucky, we'll be able to post some photos of the games on here. Will we try to do a battle report? Maybe, but we're not really sure how it will go over with our opponents, stopping to take notes about everything. So for right now, we're just hoping for photos. Photo's of horribly painted tyranids (that yes, I do believe I will repaint them in the not too distant future) swarming over the helpless enemies. And maybe some space marines and whatever storm trooper uses doing okay as well.
Well anyway, this is Dragonauthor, signing off. Remember everybody, we at WLaS love you. May you always roll low on your characteristic tests, and may you fight long in the service of (insert leader of your warhammer/warhammer 40k army here)
P.S. Because we all love orks, and I put it in the title, here's a deffkopta.
