I had somebody tell me they don't like playing against Necrons because they don't die. This is not true cause they do die, but they just don't stay dead. I love Necrons in 6th edition. My command barge has close combat attacks now. My favorite close combat weapon, the Warsyth, is now AP1 with armorbane. 2D6 for armor penetration and +2 on the damage table. How awesome is that? Here is my painted wraith, the model looks a lot better in person because my camera doesn't pick up a lot of the green on his back. These things are nasty. They move like jump infantry immune to difficult or dangerous terrain, and they are bigger than dreadnaughts. They also make the enemy in close combat Initiative 1 after all modifiers. I have never killed much with wraiths, but they are powerful enough that they cannot be ignored. So, they often serve as a good way to draw enemy fire away from other units. They have 3 wounds and a 3+ invulnerable save; they are not going to die quickly. They are also good at keeping units tied up in close combat. Now with the new rules, they can't get held up by an iron clad dreadnaught. They just have to glance it 2 or 3 times and it will explode.
Problem is.... You still need a lot of sixes to glance an ironclad ;). Go scouts! Lol
